HDFC suffers a major DDoS attack

HDFC Bank today suffered a major distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack barring users from accessing the online and banking services. Hackers took over the service earlier in the day by launching unprecedented traffic. Users faced difficulties in logging into their accounts.

It is yet to seen how the bank has suffered or whether a data breach has also taken place.

This isn't the first time when the bank has suffered problems regarding it's online banking services. Earlier last month the app upgrade resulted in sooing away customers due to a poorly crafted app. As a result the bank had to shift back to the old version of its banking app.
