RevStart launches its RevItUp Incubation Programme

Underlining its vision of creating a nurturing ecosystem for start-ups to grow in, RevStart, a co-working and incubation centre, has announced the launch of its RevItUp Incubation Programme. The 12-week long programme will be held at RevStart Incubation Centre in Noida from July 1, 2018 onwards. As part of the programme, RevStart will select five high potential start-ups from the ed-tech sector, AI, Consumer Internet, Sustainability, as well as for-profit social impact companies to assist them with developing their business, along with connecting them to global mentors across industries and sectors. In addition, start-ups selected for the programme will receive INR 5 lakh to Rs. 25 lakhs worth of cash and benefits, while RevStart will get an equity stake in the ventures.

The RevItUp Incubation Programme has been created to enhance the founding team’s industry, product, and company building knowledge and capabilities through a world-class curriculum. The programme will focus on tailored, high-quality mentoring, academic content, global exposure, and access to a diverse network, wherein start-up teams will be thoroughly equipped to build sustainable businesses and generate revenues through their innovative products. Selected Start-up teams will receive the requisite support to achieve specific business or growth goals, while founders will have a chance to enhance their domain knowledge through a series of activities and events. In addition, those start-ups in the early stages of product development will also receive seed funding to help take the idea to the next level. Start-ups who wish to participate in the programme must submit their applications by 15th May, 2018, while the ventures selected for the first cohort will be announced by June 1, 2018.

We will flag off the programme with a handful of start-ups from domains like ed-tech, consumer internet, or those who are developing socially impactful products and services, thereby enabling these aspiring entrepreneurs with ground-breaking ideas to thrive.”

He further added, “I have built and exited from several business and in recent times have lead 12 cr of investment in five business where I am on the Board.  I understand the challenges in the journey to starting up a new business. Armed with a unique perspective on entrepreneurial development, we decided to create a well-designed framework to address these bottlenecks through education, highly focused mentoring and support for early-stage start-ups.”

The RevItUp Incubation Program also aims to facilitate global connections for start-ups to help them target newer regions and audiences, along with providing start-up founders the right guidance to effectively pitch their business ideas to leading investors and VC funds. In addition, these start-ups will also have access to RevStart’s co-working facilities at discounted rates across various team sizes, allowing them to utilise the key resources needed to build a business.  At the end of the incubation programme, a demo day will be organised where entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to pitch their product to select strategic investors, clients, and partners.
