Esri India, country's leading Geographic Information System (GIS) Software & Solutions provider, announced the winners of GeoInnovation - A Challenge for Startupreneurs and mApp Your Way App Development Challenge 3.0 for students at the 18th annual User Conference (UC), hosted between 13th-14th December, 2017.
GeoInnovation - A Challenge for Startupreneurs launched in partnership with Department of Science and Technology (DST), is a first of its kind platform to recognize homegrown GIS-focused startups in India, and had 13 finalists from across India. The award winners are:
Attentive AI Pvt. Ltd.
Gray Routes Technology Pvt. Ltd.
Saartha Labs Pvt. Ltd.
On the sidelines of UC, Esri India also announced the winners of the third edition of mApp Your Way contest, an application (mobile or web) development challenge for students associated with the institutions that are users of Geospatial or Esri’s ArcGIS technology. This year’s winners were University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), followed by CEPT University and Andhra University.
Commenting on the contests, Mr. Agendra Kumar, President, Esri India said, “Our constant endeavor is to enhance the adoption of GIS in India by providing services and forums to the users which help them realize the benefits of the technology. mApp Your Way and GeoInnovation contests provide unique platform for developing innovative GIS based solutions targeted at addressing real-life challenges. Themed ‘GIS - The Science of Where’, a new way of describing the collective work done by Esri and the GIS community, the 18th edition of the UC witnessed over 1500 attendees spanning across thought leaders, strategists, policy makers, researchers, academicians, software developers and professionals working in the GIS and ICT space.
