The first day of Bengaluru Tech Summit 2017 was successfully concluded today at Bangalore Palace. India Electronics & Semiconductors Association was one of the partner association at the summit whose focus lies on encouraging the innovation in the manufacturing landscape in India. The theme for the summit is “Ideate-Innovate - Invent” and is focused towards spreading the knowledge to the emerging players in the industry with relevant knowledge sharing sessions and leadership forums.
The summit will hold one on one meetings with industry stalwarts, start-ups & investors to fast forward Lab-to-Market journey of potential innovations. The Summit is expected to host around 3000+ delegates, 250+ Exhibitors, 240+ speakers, 1000+ organizations and 100+ start-ups. The marquee events will have specialized programs for thought leaders and young innovators across platforms along with leaders from global biotech community and young entrepreneur start-ups.
Additionally, it will host the 10th edition of India’s largest State level quiz on Biotechnology – BioQuiz 2017. The objective of the quiz is to create excitement and awareness among students about the fascinating field. The quiz is open to B.Sc, B.Sc Agri, B.E Biotechnology, B. pharma students from across the Karnataka state. The event is not only enlightening with emerging Trends in Industry but is also celebrating the success of IT majors and SMEs in the industry with award ceremonies and further encouraging them to innovate.
Speaking at the summit, Dr Sandeep Garg, President, IESA said, “The robust growth of India's electronics industry is primarily driven by huge domestic demand for products. The demand for electronic products in India is poised for significant growth in the next few years, driven by strong economic outlook. With the launch of the new ESDM policy and an increased focus on areas such as skill development, quality infrastructure, encouragement to start-ups and MSMEs and simplifying the existing ways of doing business in India, India can soon become one of the mainstream countries with a strong manufacturing ecosystem at a global level.” He also lauded role of the Karnataka government in supporting many initiatives of IESA including ESDM & VLSI incubation and Fabless design in the state, which are taking shape in line with the overall policy direction of the Government.
The summit will conclude with an international B2B trade show which will offer opportunities to various industry sectors such as Cloud & Big Data, Internet of Things (IOT), Robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine Learning (ML), Communications, ESDM, AVGC, Biotechnology, Lab equipment’s to showcase their unique technologies, products and services.
