Videocon, the leading consumer electronics and home appliances company, has appointed Mr Rajesh Rathi as Business Head.
Mr. Rathi was earlier National Head and responsible for the Group’s consumer durable sales across India. He has also been heading the company’s other business verticals, including strategic planning, product management, business alliances and distribution management.
Given his long and illustrious career and immense potential, the Videocon management had been grooming Mr Rathi for this role for the past one year.
Videocon Industries, Chairman, Venugopal N. Dhoot said, “Mr Rajesh Rathi has more than two decades of experience in the Indian consumer durables market. He has been a key asset to Videocon’s growth plans. His expertise in planning, market strategy, analyses and product management will be invaluable to the company, going forward.”
A veteran in the consumer durables industry, Mr Rathi has been associated with Videocon for over eight years. In his current role, he is responsible for sales of Videocon’s consumer durables across India. He believes in keeping himself abreast of national and international work processes and has, over the years, attended specialised courses in sales, general management and strategic planning.
Mr Rathi started his career with Videocon, before moving on to TCL, and then coming back to his first company to head its all-India sales division. In the course of his career, Mr Rathi has worked with leading brands such as LG Electronics and Electrolux.
