India is finally having a speed of more than 1GBPS. ACT Fibernet has brought this speed in the city of Hyderabad, though company plans to take this further into other cities particularly in Bangalore and Chennai where the company has presence.
However it would be seen how this speed is utilized. The company has attractively priced the package and is allowing a free upgrade to its customers. They would be able to use the internet at the lightening fast speed. Airtel and BSNL are the largest ISPs in India but do not offer this kind of high speed internet. It is expected that other players will follow the lead and offer better speed to customers. The company is also looking for acquisitions in many cities. It is hunting for small ISPs.
