Quess Corp enters into MoU with KIOCL for Skill Development

Quess Corp announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Ltd (KIOCL).This agreement will further expand the training scope of Quess Corp Ltd, under its brand Excelus Learning Solutions, and also provide a great impetus to the Government's 'Skill India' initiative. 

Quess Corp Ltd. in association with KIOCL will develop a joint curriculum for skill development programs in mining and steel sector. The MoU was signed by Mangesh Gawande, Director, Excelus Learning Solutions, a division of Quess Corp ltd., and Shri N Vidyananda, Director, Production and Projects, KIOCL in the presence of Malay Chatterjee, CMD, KIOCL and the management teams of both the organizations.

As per the agreement, KIOCL will provide all necessary infrastructure facilities for skill development to Quess Corp.The training center will be based at KIOCL Mangalore Unit, which houses the Pellet Plant and the Blast Furnace of the Company. Quess Corp will be providing skill training to the youth in these localities and the employees of mining and iron & steel sector.The training programs will be as per the National occupational standards.

Speaking on the partnership, Malay Chatterjee, CMD, KIOCL Ltd., said “This association will go a long way in promoting the development of skills under the aegis of Skill India Mission of our hon’ble Prime Minister. We are excited about this collaboration with Quess Corp as this will strengthen the Skill Development programme of NSDC and enhance the employability of youth of the country.”

By associating with KIOCL’s industry expertise we are confident of opening new avenues to the country’s youth which will ensure India’s global competiveness. Our recent collaboration will be yet another step in contributing to the success of the overall Skill India initiative.”

Excelus Learning Solutions works towards improving employability prospects of the youth from rural, below poverty-line backgrounds and the under privileged sections of the society. Most work is done in collaboration with Central and State government through their administration in aided placement linked skill development programs. Currently Excelus holds infrastructure strength to train more than 25,000 candidates annually through its 65 centers located across 14 states in India.
