Blue Coat Systems, a player in enterprise security, introduced new chief financial officer (CFO), Nick Noviello. Noviello brings extensive financial and operational expertise with global, publicly traded companies, most recently as executive vice president, finance and operations, and CFO of NetApp, Inc. He will report directly to Greg Clark, CEO of Blue Coat, and will be responsible for leading the company’s finance, information technology (IT), human resources, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
Gregg Hampton, who as CFO led the Blue Coat financial, manufacturing and order administration organizations through the last three years, including the acquisition by Bain Capital, will continue to play a strategic role as senior vice president, business operations and will assist Noviello in the transition.

Noviello has over 20 years of leadership experience in financial and operational roles. At NetApp, which he joined in 2008, and was CFO for the last four years, he led a finance and operations team of more than 1,500 professionals with a focus on financial and operational excellence, strategic financial planning, capital structure, capital allocation, tax, treasury, enterprise risk management and investor relations. Prior to joining NetApp, Noviello spent eight years at Honeywell International, where he held operating business unit CFO roles, ran investor relations, and was a leader on the corporate mergers and acquisitions (M&A) team.
