Muvizz.com funding the remake of critically acclaimed film, 'Albert Pinto ko Gussa kyu aata hai'

Muvizz.com, an online channel dedicated for aspiring filmmakers, recently backed the upcoming director Soumitra Ranande by raising 15 lacs for the post production of Nandita Das starrer film ‘Albert Pinto Ko Gussa kyun aata hai. The film required a total of 30 lacs as a cost to complete the post production phase, and muvizz founders backed the film with 15 lacs and took to crowdfunding to manage the rest of the amount. They successfully managed to raise the balance 15 lacs with a 2 month long crowdfunding campaign.  These funds will be utilized for the post production, animation and VFX of the film.

Muvizz.com has always believed in the vast talent that exists within our country and has taken up this initiative to encourage upcoming directors and give them a platform to showcase their content across the globe. They believe a lot of talent gets lost in the crowd due to insufficient funding in our country, and hence the thought process behind Muvizz is to ensure that the best of the abilities are displayed to the world.

By creating muvizz we have just provided a platform to budding filmakers.  Muvizz caters to cult classic and independent cinema which is another reason why we backed the movie Albert Pinto Ko gussa kyun aata hai. We want such interesting films to reach the audiences and cinephiles so that they can enjoy good cinema.  I believe that India has immense potential to showcase creative content but due to lack of funds, even the national award winning films do not reach a world-wide audience.”

Muvizz.com has been backing innovative content films right from its inception.  The platform recently gave backing to a documentary based on the veteran singer Late. Mr. Jagjit Singh. The platform aims to assist filmmakers at every level to gain global exposure while encouraging diversity, creativity and innovation in the process.
