Godrej Appliances organizes Asylum Hack for futuristic innovation

Godrej Appliances is organizing Asylum Hack, a first-of-its-kind event aimed at providing young minds a platform to ideate and innovate. The event, to be held during 27th - 29thof November, is organized under the aegis of Godrej Appliances Innovation Cell set up 6 months back which looks at innovation and the future possibilities and adjacencies closely. It works towards creating solutions that can add value to the consumer's life through relevant technology, for a brighter living. 

Mr Kamal Nandi, Business Head and EVP, Godrej Appliances, said, “The young generation today is very innovative. The idea of Asylum Hack is to give the perfect incubating environment to these young minds to not only generate new ideas and but also give a shape to them and take it to a logical conclusion by making a prototype. We hope to gather inspiration from these ideas, nurture a network and connect with the younger generation through this event. In line with the brand's core values of innovation and inclusiveness, we believe that Asylum Hack will witness ‘never-seen-before’ ideas and concepts which could potentially set the course for many future developments.”

Commenting on Asylum Hack, Nishant Bhaskar, Head-Innovation Cell, Godrej Appliances said, “This event will assist young minds to nurture their innovation and ideas with Godrej Appliances providing the perfect incubating environment. The younger generation has plenty of ideas and dreams — it is they who can truly change the future for the better. We plan to provide many more such platforms in the future that will foster creative thinking.”

Godrej Appliances has handpicked 24 participants from diverse fields to bring in different perspectives for this event. It's an exciting mix of developers, engineers, designers, strategists, makers amongst others. They will be divided in teams of 4-5, each with a healthy blend of participants from different backgrounds and a mix of competencies. The teams will also be mentored by industry experts. The theme of the event is 'Internet of Things' (IoT). The event is being organized in association with Maker's Asylum.
