Nuance Appoints Rajeev Soni as its New Managing Director – South Asia

Nuance Communications announced the appointment of Rajeev Soni as its new Managing Director, South Asia, for the company’s Enterprise and Mobile businesses. In this role, Rajeev will be responsible for spearheading the growth and operations in the South Asian market with a focus on strengthening Nuance’s position as a leader in intelligent speech language technologies, delivering a better customer experience and cost reduction within the region. Based in Mumbai, Rajeev will report to Jason Stirling, senior vice president and general manager, Nuance, Asia Pacific. 

Rajeev brings to Nuance a rich experience of over 18 years in enterprise marketing during which he has worked for several MNCs across India, Middle East and APAC region. His splendid career includes a long stint of 12 years at Aspect Software Inc. wherein he joined as the first employee in India and went onto become the General Manager for the country. During his tenure in Aspect, Rajeev holds the credit of exponentially growing the customer base from zero. He brought the top 10 banks, BPOs, Insurance companies and significant leaders in Retail, Media, Manufacturing and Govt. to Aspect’s customer base.

Prior to Nuance, Rajeev was associated with Semsui Inc. as their Chief Business Advisor. Before that, he has held several senior management and country-lead positions in companies like Microsoft, Aspect Software Inc., Kana Software etc. With the educational background of IIT and IIM, Rajeev brings on table the required energy and enthusiasm which is certain to help in carving an India success story for Nuance.
