Kodak Alaris Unlocks Data Potential in Middle East

Kodak Alaris is launching both Arabic Interface and Arabic TWAIN drivers to its scanners capable of displaying Arabic text in its LCD Panels. The new i2000 range for the Middle East and North Africa region will be able to display Arabic text for job setups or Smart Touch, unlocking the business potential in document management for Arabic speakers.

Continuing its mission to make scanner operation for End Users ever simpler, Kodak Alaris’ Arabic Interface on the LCD panel allows the use to launch up to nine different scanner jobs at the touch of a button. The Arabic Twain allows Arabic software developers the ability to work homogeneously in one language and again demonstrates Kodak Alaris’ commitment to a region where it enjoys a marketing leading position in terms of scanners sold.

“Arabic smart touch continues the trend of Kodak Alaris localizing its Scanner offerings in the fast growing Middle East and African document scanner markets” says David Whitton, Regional Sales Director for Kodak Alaris’s Eastern Cluster. “I’m convinced the work we do in this area is why Kodak Alaris enjoys such a fast growing business in the region”.

The launch of the Arabic interface follows the opening of the service centre in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in June earlier this year and portrays the dedication of Kodak Alaris to offer the best possible service to the region and its growing demand by offering tailored solutions for the Arabic speaking world. Further services centres are currently in the plans for the region.
