The Government Inspections in Nandurbar District goes Hi-Tech

On the eve of Independence Day, the 6 departments Public Works Department, Rural Water Supply, Irrigation, ICDS, Education & Health in Nandurbar District went Hi-Tech by automating their inspection process. The Collector Office, Nandurbar launched an Onsite Inspection Mobile Application “ANUPAM” developed by IT Shastra India Pvt Ltd.
“ANUPAM” is a unique mobile application which enables inspecting authorities to capture real time data including photos and GPS co-ordinates of the inspection site, during inspections. The Web Interface of ‘ANUPAM” enables real time monitoring and evaluation of various government works and services of the 6 departments. The software was launched by the Hon. Minister Shri Girishji Mahajan, Water Resources Minister, Government of Maharashtra and Guardian Minister of Nandurbar and Nashik Districts. The concept of the software was given by Mr. P Pradeep, Collector Nandurbar and is developed by Mumbai based company IT Shastra.

ITShastra’s Mobile App “Anupam” will help the district officers to track and monitor the field activities by ensuring timely and genuine inspections by the inspecting authorities of the Public Works Department, Rural Water Supply, Irrigation, ICDS, Education & Health departments. As the inspection report will be immediately available to the District Officers they will be better placed to take actionable decisions.

According to Mr. P Pradeep, Collector Nandurbar, “With the use of this innovative product, we can now review the reports of multiple departments at the click of a button. Anupam will also enable us to track the frequency of inspections of every site and whether the inspection was done onsite or offsite. It also has a facility to send alerts to inspecting officials regarding the inspections due every week for that week”

“In the manual inspection process, the inspecting officials, while visiting the inspecting site, used to compile the paper based inspection reports on a monthly basis and then submit them to the District office. The District offices used to get reams and reams of reports, which were difficult to analyze and act on. With “Anupam” the inspection data along with the photos and geo location of the inspecting location can now be uploaded in real time using inspecting officials’ mobile phones / tablets. This will enhance the efficiency of the Inspecting Officials. “Anupam” eliminates duplication of effort & reduces human errors” said Prasad Nagool, CEO IT Shastra. He also said that the help and guidance of Mr. P Pradeep was very helpful in developing a very useful and effective application.
