Swipe Telecom which sells smartphones and is a leader in the tablet space has informed the media people in Delhi that Swipe is going to set up an assembly line in India for all kinds of handsets and devices. Shripal Gandhi, CEO of the company spoke of this at a press briefing.
Swipe has shown its commitment to India only products by launching an Android-based operating system called Freedom OS. The company also launched a mobile handset based on the operating system - Swipe Elite - which it will sell only through Flipkart.com. Interesting it would not be flash sale and will be available only for Rs 5999 only.
Swipe has announced the plans to set up factory in India keeping in mind the incentives announced by the Indian government. The company is based out of Pune and claims to be one of the top tablet vendors in India. Its Windows-based Swipte Ultimate received a positive response from the market.
