ABI.Delhi-NCR to organize an exclusive event for women in technology

The Anita Borg Institute (ABI) announced the launch of its new initiative called the ABI.Delhi-NCR. This program focuses on building a local community that connects women technologists and local tech organizations, with the objective to inspire women to pursue long-term careers in technical fields. ABI.Delhi-NCR will allow women technologists including professionals and students to build their networks, discover opportunities and receive career guidance.

Under the ABI.Delhi-NCR program, ABI will be organizing a networking reception on 27 August, 2015 at ITC Maurya, New Delhi. This will be a one-day event focused on learning, networking and encouraging a gender diverse technology workforce in New Delhi and the NCR. The event is being sponsored by the American Express.

ABI builds programs that focus on advancing the careers of women in technology. After the success of their annual flagship conference the Grace Hopper Celebration India that has been held since 2010, ABI looks forward to reaching out to more women technologist through platforms such as the ABI.Delhi-NCR.

The networking reception’s agenda includes a keynote session by Debjani Ghosh, Vice President, Sales and Marketing Group, Managing Director, South Asia – Intel Corporation, a CEO Panel discussion on managing unconscious bias in the workforce and other leadership and technical sessions on current topics such as net neutrality and big data analytics.
