Lenovo along with Flipkart today announced that it sold 47,440 units of its recently-launched smartphone K3 Note in 5.2 seconds during the first flash sale today at 3:00 PM. The K3 Note has FullHD display, flagship performance and spectacular features at an affordable price of Rs. 9999/-.
The company claimed that it witnessed 538,096 registrations for the first flash sale. It is difficult to ascertain whether these numbers are real or not. On the surface these numbers appear fake and exaggerating as these companies think that this is a good marketing gimmick and can be exploited to draw attention. But not many companies have succeeded of late. It would be advisable to these companies to report exact and genuine numbers so that they do not look fake and misleading to the consumers.
