Enthused by the success of the MOWA mobile app aimed at simplifying the mobile payment process for customers, through their smart phone, iKaaz now announces the launch of the MOWA Tap and Pay terminal coined as “MOWA Wave” for merchants. The leading mobile payments company, iKaaz, providing innovative Tap & Pay solutions, presents this stand-alone terminal to enable merchants to accept payments without the need to install any additional hardware or software. The biggest advantage of MOWA Wave is that consumers who have the MOWA app can start paying using their phone by simply tapping at these terminals.
As a natural progression of any successful company, iKaaz is also constantly evolving and is now pushing with introduction of an innovative protocol from iKaaz that can transform any smart phone into a proximity device, eliminating the need for the customers to buy any hardware like NFC card or NFC phone. The customers need to simply download the MOWA mobile app.
MOWA is a free mobile app that can be downloaded from the Android playstore. At present MOWA platform is clocking half a million transactions a month and is expecting to grow up to five million monthly transactions over the next twelve months.

These terminals are also pocket friendly for the merchants, and will be available across all fast food restaurants and grocery stores in Bengaluru empowering 3000 merchants. iKaaz charges a minimal merchants transaction fee.
Transforming Bengaluru in to a Tap & Pay City, key merchants in the city have been signed up in the Restaurant and Grocery Categories. The food joints and restaurants include Empire Group of Hotels, Nandhini Group of Hotels, United Restaurants Ltd (US Pizza), Donut Baker, Rolls on Wheels, Imperial Restaurants, Just Bake, Juice Junction, Chung Wah and Vasudev Adigas. The super market tie-ups include Village Hyper Market, Top in Town, Big Market, Family Mart, City Shoppe, Fresh N More Super Markets and MK Ahmeds.
