Skillsoft CEO Chuck Moran wins EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Award

Skillsoft announced that Chuck Moran, the company's CEO, was honored as EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2015 New England for demonstrating innovation and leadership in the technology sector. Moran, who has built Skillsoft into a market-leading business organically and through strategic acquisitions over the past 17 years, was honored for transforming the way organizations use technology to improve business performance and for contributing to the vibrancy of the regional community.

"When I founded Skillsoft almost two decades ago, our goal was to help companies thrive by providing tools and solutions that build the skills their employees need to be successful and productive in their jobs," said Moran. "Though the workplace and our solutions have evolved significantly since our founding, Skillsoft's core philosophy remains focused on empowering organizations and employees to improve their performance. I could not be more proud to work alongside a team that continually raises the bar to ensure we deliver on this commitment, and I am honored to accept the recognition on behalf of every member of the Skillsoft organization."

Skillsoft, a pioneer in learning and talent management, has a proven history of innovation, delivering employee-centric learning and HR solutions to customers worldwide. Skillsoft's learning and talent management solutions are helping organizations drive business results by continually improving, quantifying and optimizing the performance of their employees.

As an EY Entrepreneur Of The Year New England award winner, Moran will advance to the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2015 national program. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the Entrepreneur Of The Year National Overall Award winner, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, California, on Nov. 14. The awards are the culminating event of the EY Strategic Growth Forum®, the nation's most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies.

Now in its 29th year, the Entrepreneur Of The Year program has honored the inspirational leadership of such business leaders as Howard Schultz of Starbucks Coffee Company, Pierre Omidyar of eBay, Inc., and Mindy Grossman of HSN. Recent US national winners include Hamdi Ulukaya, founder of Chobani; and 2014 winner Dr. David Hung, President and CEO and Chairman of Medivation.
