New Avaya Collaboration Pod focused at midsize enterprises

Avaya announced a new model of the Avaya Collaboration Pod, built specifically to serve the needs of midsize enterprises. Designed for rapid implementation and streamlined management of Avaya Engagement Solutions, the Collaboration Pod 2400 Series combines applications, servers, storage, networking and management components in an easy-to-deploy, ready-to-operate package. Avaya is also launching a fast-track Collaboration Pod on boarding program for qualified Avaya channel partners to help them quickly and successfully deliver the new Collaboration Pod 2400 to customers, as well as a demo program for customers and channel partners.

Based on solutions from Avaya, HP, EMC, and VMware, the fully-integrated, tested Avaya Collaboration Pod 2400 can reduce the time to service for Engagement Solutions to weeks from months. The Collaboration Pod is customized to the requirements of each customer and can be expanded as needs change. In addition, Avaya and authorized channel partners can provide “single source” support for all Collaboration Pod components, simplifying software upgrades and eliminating the need for support coverage from multiple vendors.

The Avaya Collaboration Pod 2400 can be combined with Avaya’s unified access technologies for a complete, single vendor solution for midsize enterprises that includes networking, data center and applications for mobile engagement environments. Avaya plans to make the new Collaboration Pod available globally in late June. Collaboration Pod Elite workshops for channel partners are currently scheduled for July in the U.S., October in the U.K. and Singapore in December.

The Collaboration Pod 2400 for midsize enterprises arrives following the market success of a larger version, the Collaboration Pod 4200, which was designed for Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) and large enterprises. Since its launch in 2014, the larger model has been implemented by companies in every region around the world, with ongoing, exponentially rising sales.
