SoftAge now diversifies into Healthcare Sector.

SoftAge Information Technology, a firm which provides solutions and services in the Document Process Management (DPM) arena, is all set to diversify and expand into the Healthcare sector.SoftAge has created a name for itself by providing document management solutions that help bridge the gap between physical and digital information for clients across the globe.

Withholding its niche in the DPM industry, SoftAge plans to diversify and enter into the Healthcare Sector. SoftAge has signed an MOU with the RJ Group to set up Sample Gathering Centers (SGC) for Diagno Labs across India. With this venture, SoftAge aims to open about 100 SGCs within a span of 12 months and aims to hire about 1200 people.

The first two centers have started operations in Gurgaon (DLF Phase 1 & Palam Vihar) and six more centers in NCR will start by this month. With this diversification, SoftAge aims to enter into the ₹1200 crore largely unorganized market with the intention of making high quality services easilyaccessible at affordable prices. The 20-year-old company plans to leverage its pan-India presence in 25 states and more than 500 cities to accomplish this objective. For this reason, SoftAge has made available all testing at about half the price as compared to the other established players in the market.

Diagno Labs is an RJ Corp-owned, distributed pathological lab company with a rapidly growing lab footprint and collection network. Diagno Labs has a quality and service focused pathology operation, with 5 operating labsand a network of 1500 collection centers. The rationale of the venture is to make quality healthcare accessible to an unaddressed 200 million people in tier 2 and tier 3 cities and are in dire need of credible medical assistance. This is where their tie-up with SoftAge assumes special significance.

Speaking about the new venture, Mr. OzairYasin, Managing Director of SoftAge Group said that “with organized healthcare set to boom in the coming months, this is an important addition to the SoftAge family. ‘Though traditionally IT/ITES has been our forte, we believed this to be an opportune moment to diversify into Healthcare. As affluence amongst Indians increases, and Indians clamor for services with international quality back home, the private sector needs to support the India Government in these efforts. We are just happy to service this urgent and important need.’ While thanking Diagno Labs for partnering with SoftAge Healthcare, Mr. Yasin wished the endeavor the very best”

Talking about the partnership, MrSanjoyMukerji, MD, Diagno Labs said,  “We have an ambitious game plan before us. In the coming 3 years, we are confident to touch at least over a 100 lab locations and a network of over 10,000 collection centers. On the corporate front, we will have a client base of over 300 and hope to forge small hospital tie ups in small towns. We propose to have 20 specialist hubs in metros and large towns operational with a substantial presence in Africa. Our aim is to have an expansive and dedicated network of thousands of doctors, specialists, path labs, collection points, diagnostic centers, corporate and hub hospitals (in metros) and nursing homes (in small towns) thereby creating a distinct valued ecosystem for non-hospitalized care with a dominant web presence for both the pathology and consultancy products”

Healthcare is one of the country's largest sectors in terms of both revenue and employment, fuelled by growth in hospitals, medical devices, clinical trials, outsourcing, telemedicine, diagnostics labs and collection centers, medical tourism, health insurance and equipment. The Healthcare industry can benefit substantially through the successful implementation of powerful document management systems. These systems will automate the process of reviewing reports, prescriptions, and medical suggestions by physicians.
