Adobe announced that Shanmugh Natarajan has been appointed executive director, Adobe India. Natarajan will take on this important new leadership role in addition to his ongoing responsibility as vice president, Engineering, Digital Media.
Shanmugh Natarajan joined Adobe in 2008 and has been instrumental in leading product development of award winning products like Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Flash and Lightroom. His leadership has contributed to the development of many mobile and web products for Adobe Creative Cloud.
Speaking on the appointment, Shantanu Narayen, president and CEO, Adobe said, “Shanmugh Natarajan has made significant contributions to the growth of Adobe’s operations in India. His expertise and successful track record are foundational to the kind of leadership and vision that will enable Adobe to continue to expand this important center of innovation.”

Speaking on the announcement, Natarajan said, “It is my privilege to take on the role of executive director for Adobe India and lead an operation which is home to absolutely top-tier global talent. All Adobe’s business units have large teams operating out of India. We will continue to remain focused on innovating and staying ahead to ensure our customers’ digital experiences are nothing short of exemplary.”
Natarajan graduated from College of Engineering, Guindy with a Bachelors in Electronics and Communication and also holds a Masters in Computer Engineering from University of Texas, Austin.
