Watson Supercomputer at work, to mine millions of tweets

While IBM has entered into a parntership with microblogging site Twitter claiming that it will assist businesses to understand their customers, markets and trends, it has got its Watson supercomputer at work. Twitter is a hot bed of popular discussions on multiple topics. The outcomes will be helpful for companies to understand a variety of trends that can help them take informed decisions for their businesses.

The statement issued by Dick Costolo, Twitter CEO, pans out well when he says that the partnership will change “the way business decisions are made – from identifying emerging market opportunities to better engaging clients, partners and employees.”

As per the deal signed, IBM will expand its cloud-based analytics offering. In our opinion, this is a huge opportunity for IBM to reap on analytics and millions from businesses who need exact insights from the Twitter data. IBM Watson Analytics boasts to bring intuitive visualization and predictive capabilities to business users.
