Government of Gujarat organized a roadshow in Namma Bengaluru to showcase the forthcoming Vibrant Gujarat 2015 Summit being organized on11–13 January, 2015 in Mahatma Mandir, the state-of-the-art convention center in the state capital Gandhinagar. The seventh edition of Vibrant of Vibrant Gujarat Summit will be led by Chief Minister Smt Anandiben Patel.
Shri Saurabhbhai Patel, Minister of Finance, Energy & Petrochemicals spearheaded the roadshow at Hotel Sheraton, which was attended by over 300 top industrialists and corporate leaders from the city. The Vibrant Gujarat Summitwill be inaugurated byPrime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who conceptualized and created this biennial event, and transformed it into the business gateway of India. This leading business event is partnered by seven countries – Japan, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Singapore, South Africa and the Netherlands.Vibrant Gujarat is the only business event organized by a state government in the country that is partnered by theleading developed nations of the world.
A presentationcovering key sectors of the Gujarat economywas made at the roadshow. The Gujarat minister separately met key industry and business stalwarts of the city in one-to-one meetings. Additional Chief Secretary (Industries) Shri D.J Pandian and senior officers from the departments of energy, environment, education, IT and urban planning interacted with the elite gathering at the interaction meet.
Gujarat has made rapid strides in agriculture, industry, energy, port development, urban and other infrastructure during Shri Narendra Modi’s thirteen years stewardship of the state as Chief Minister. It is, today, surplus in power generationand has gas and water grids crisscrossing the entire state. This growth story is being continued and carried forward by our Hon’ble CM, Smt. Anandiben Patel. The Vibrant Gujarat initiative is today emulated by many other states of the country.
During the roadshow, the Gujarat delegation also highlighted other national level events being organized in the state during January – February 2015, namely the Global Trade Show, the Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas, Global CEO Conclave, PlastIndia 2015, Rann Utsav (Kutch Desert Festival) and International Kite Festival.
