KeyPoint Technologies announced that the Adaptxt 3.0 smart keyboard app is now out of beta and is available for download in the Google Play store. With this, Adaptxt becomes the first keyboard in the market that not only understands what users are typing, but also identifies the location of the user and what application they are using, to provide more accurate and contextual word predictions.
With the Adaptxt 3.0 update, the most pioneering innovation to be made live is the Location-Based Suggestions feature which detects users’ location and suggests words based on their current location. With this feature users’ can now define up to 3 preferred locations on the Adaptxt Settings, or let the automatic location detection technology detect their current position. By using the ground-breaking localization feature, the ongoing frustration with autocorrect is significantly reduced, as it predicts, saves and suggests names and words associated with the user’s most accessed locations.

Another big addition is the Application-Based Suggestions feature which is now completely aware of the context in which the users’ write and suggests words according to the topics and writing style of the current app in use. Unlike other keyboards, Adaptxt knows what application is being used and will provide word suggestions according to the user’s writing and texting style and habits. Its ability to detect whether the user is having a casual conversation using social messenger or drafting something formal in mail service, to adjust its word predictions accordingly is a radical feature which will allow for more communication through lesser input.
