Steria, a provider of IT-enabled business services, has further strengthened its positioning as an expert in transformation by acquiring Cloud Computing consultants Beamap. As the world undergoes a digital revolution, Steria once again demonstrates its ability to work with its clients – from design right through to implementation of large-scale Cloud projects. The buyout forms part of the Group’s investment strategy for the Cloud.
As a pioneering consulting firm in the field, Beamap works with major organisations to ensure successful transitions to Cloud Computing. Alstom, Axa, BNP Paribas, GDF Suez, SNCF, Société Générale, Thalès and Total are just some of the firms which have been able to leverage the Cloud for transformation, through creating value by adopting new uses, cutting costs and acquiring greater agility. As a wholly-owned subsidiary, Beamap will take on a whole new dimension, whilst preserving its own identity.
François Enaud, Steria Group CEO commented: “This buyout is a terrific opportunity for our two companies to stimulate growth in our respective business lines and gain an even stronger foothold in Cloud Computing. The many complementary facets of Steria and Beamap, in terms of both offerings and clients, will enable us to deliver even better service to our clients in consultancy, project management – and the rollout of their Cloud projects.”
Beamap’s founder Patrick Joubert, added: “This is a big boost for Beamap and the team of consultants I put together. Working alongside Steria France opens up the prospect of many more exciting Cloud projects for us. We will also be expanding our presence internationally.”
