R&M to Exhibit Latest Data Centers Solutions at BICSI Middle East Conference 2014

Reichle & De-Massari (R&M), a Swiss structured cabling specialist, is set to participate at the BICSI Middle East Conference and Exhibition being held at the Habtoor Grand Resort & Spa in Dubai from the 8th to the 10th of April 2014. R&M is also a silver sponsor of the event and will demonstrate its latest solutions for data centers. In addition, through a presentation titled 'Modern Data Center Needs' and delivered by the company's Head of Technical Support & Training- Mr. Andrew Sedman- R&M will educate businesses on how to manage the now vital migration of their data centers to 40GbE and 100GbE networking technologies and inform them of cabling advancements such as automated infrastructure management (AIM) systems.

“Large organizations in the Middle East are well on the path to building massive data centers. At the same time, they are faced with the need to upgrade their data center networking infrastructure to match growing demands. The significant upfront costs involved means that businesses must get these deployments right on the very first try. 40GbE and even 100GbE migrations are absolutely essential and achievable if companies partner with the right solution vendors. This is a point we intend to emphasize during our participation at BICSI,” said Jean-Pierre Labry, Executive Vice-President of R&M Middle East, Turkey and Africa.
Sedman in his presentation will also focus upon AIM solutions which are fast becoming a necessary technology for large scale data center deployments. These solutions have proven to vastly improve data center efficiency, operation and administration and can result in reduction of downtime by 30 to 50 percent. R&M will be demonstrating its R&MinteliPhy AIM platform at the event. The system has been designed to be easily retrofittable in existing data center cable installations and allows network managers to continuously monitor each and every connection in data centers and local data networks in buildings.

As the event will be attended by a number network consultants and installers, the cabling specialist will also use BICSI as a platform to promote 'The R&M Academy'. The company's Certified Installer Program (CIP) and Qualified Partner Program (QPP) are aimed at training and certifying partners in on public and enterprise network cabling technologies respectively. These programs which are conducted by R&M's industry experts help partners ensure that the passive infrastructure solutions are deployed according to the company's high standard for quality.

The company will also highlight other critical technologies such as its high density cabinets, raceway systems and its rugged bend-insensitive HD MTP system. The products deliver unrivalled port density, reliability, modularity and ease of installation with the most efficient utilization of space. As with all solutions in R&M extensive portfolio of over 5000 products, these can be highly customized to meet individual customer requirements.

In addition to regularly hosting training and relationship building events for its partners and customers, R&M regularly participates in regional conferences in order to support the regions now booming structured cabling industry. “BICSI MEA gives us the opportunity to engage with a very relevant audience. The industry professionals in attendance bring with them key insights into the needs of the data center market. Informing them of our continued support and innovation, both in terms of technology as well as professional services, is important to establishing R&M as the 'vendor of choice' for all the passive infrastructure needs of modern data centers,” said Alfred Tharwat Head of Training & Data Center consultancy, R&M Middle East, Turkey & Africa.
