Through this association Logitech aims to reach out to the professional gamers and help promote e-sports across the country. The Professional gaming enthusiasts will be using Logitech G products including the G105 Gaming Keyboard, G230 Stereo Gaming Headset and G400s Optical Gaming Mouse.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Subrotah Biswas, Country Director of Logitech India and South West Asia, said, “We are proud to be associated with IESL to cater to the niche gaming enthusiasts with India’s first professional e-Sports league. We understand that e-sports is an extremely high performance activity which requires accuracy, control and precision. With our new range of Logitech G peripherals, we are providing gamers with a wider choice of gaming gears that offer a competitive edge.”
“We believe that some video games can also be real sports," stated Ashish Gupta, Co-founder & Director, Xtreme Gaming. This idea has made inroads throughout the world, giving birth to the concept of Electronic Sports or "e-Sports", shared by millions of players. "There isn't much room for luck in E-Sports: the game is a tool, a field where the protagonists’ talent is expressed. Reflexes, the ability to concentrate, visual acuity, team spirit, endurance, those are the skills that need to be refined in a high-level game in order to overcome an opponent. And that's the paradox of electronic sports: in a world of pixels, emotion makes all the difference," said Ashish Gupta."
