The Asian Centre for
Corporate Governance & Sustainability, a ‘Not for Profit’
independent institution, conferred the Best Governed Company Award on HCL Technologies at the Asia Business
Responsibility Summit 2014 in Mumbai. Anant Gupta, CEO, HCL Technologies
Ltd. received the award presented by the chief guest and key note
speaker at the Summit Mr. Mervyn King, Chairman of
the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) and a member of
the Private Sector Advisory Group to the World Bank on Corporate
Governance.
Receiving the award, Anant Gupta, CEO, HCL Technologies Ltd.
said, “It’s an honor and privilege for HCL to be recognized as well
governed enterprise by a renowned non-profit institution like the ACCGS
and its global evaluation panel. It’s heartening to be rewarded for our
relentless pursuit of corporate excellence through transparency &

The
Global Advisory Board of Asian Centre for Corporate Governance &
Sustainability chaired by Mr. Mervyn King had instituted Corporate
Governance & Sustainability Awards in 2006. The objective of these
awards is to raise the quality of Corporate Governance and to recognize
the companies & Industry leaders & Directors, who are doing
exemplary work in improving Governance standards of their respective
companies.
The best part has always the worst part. Payment to the employees is always underperformed. Presenting Benz to 10 (favorable) employees at the sufferings of hundreds is unethical and immoral. As is with most Desi companies, Employees are not paid their compensation for several months just to show the balance sheet. At high level maximum rigging going on, and when it comes to hikes/remunerations it will be paltry 4-5% but if you are at a slightly higher level into management then you will get a Benz for free
