What should be IT industry's resolution for 2014

Even if you don't rest faith in making new year resolutions, there are a few things that force us to do--our peers. As IT companies you may not like the idea but your peers, customers, analysts and the media would want you to keep a few things on the top list. We have a few suggestions. Well these are random and not around telling them about the tech trends. However, our suggestions are about honesty, fairness and transparency. Our IT players need to understand and knot it for the good of themselves. In the last few years, we have seen a number of companies indulge in unfair practices and take the shortcut to win projects in the government and otherwise. It is a risky and a bad approach. Taking lessons from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), it is important that IT companies indulge in ethical practices and try to reduce inconsistencies in their dealings with their customers, employees and stakeholders. For them, the priority should be to reward and honor the true and ethical in their organization so that truth may win and lead them to emerge ethically sound company. Remember a true leader is he who is honest and sticks to the truthfulness.

The Data Driver will not bet on the IT trends but on the culture you imbibe and nurture within your premises. If you are ethical and sound in character, your business is destined to grow without fail. Well, doubts might exist about the longevity of struggle since the truth takes its course. However, your growth or rise would be consistent and organic. It is better to learn lessons from the known examples in the society. Many mighty men have failed in life because of their underhand dealings and unfair practices. Satyam is one big example. And the latest one is Sai Infosystems. Greed and vanity are enemies of your business and your employees. You need to restrain them and focus on the deeds of honesty and transparency.

We can quote more examples. But the idea is to nurture and breed employees for the honest corporate environment.
