Persistent Systems Uses Dell Infrastructure Solution Running SAP HANA

Dell announced that Persistent Systems is using a Dell infrastructure solution to accelerate the performance of its groundbreaking research project called SanGeniX. The Dell solution, which includes the SAP HANA platform running on Dell’s PowerEdge R910 server, has dramatically reduced research time making data analysis 20 times faster. The project was initiated by Persistent Systems to build a comprehensive solution for Next Generation Sequence data analysis in collaboration with IISER, Pune, NBAGR, Karnal and IIT-Bombay and has been co-funded under the Biotechnology Industry Partnership Programme (BIPP), by the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC), a Not-for-Profit Public Sector Undertaking set up by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.
 ‘SanGeniX,’ one of the many Life Sciences projects undertaken by Persistent Systems, is built to be  a comprehensive, user-friendly solution for genome-scale sequence data analysis. The project improves and simplifies research in the field of personalized genomics and personalized medicine transforming the way research is done in the field. Designed by Persistent Systems specifically for the pharmaceutical industry, SanGeniX will help accelerate the speed at which research can be performed.
