Getit Infomedia ties up with Indian Institute of Material Management


Getit Infomedia announced its association with the Indian Institute of Material Management (IIMM), an apex body that trains professionals working in various fields of materials management, planning, sourcing, logistics and supply chain management. Under the alliance, Getit Infomedia will create an online ‘Purchase Manager’s Module’ that will enable the purchase managers enlisted with IIMM to post their requirements online at the Getit Infomedia platform and get connected with the relevant products/solutions/service providers. This will help the purchase managers’ overcome their logistics and time-related challenges and get connected with the right SMEs while bringing in cost optimization and quality standardization.

As a part of Getit Infomedia’s ‘Purchase Manager’s Module’, members of IIMM can get connected with the SMEs through a simplified process that involves the creation and activation of individual accounts. The members can log on to the account and post their queries, which will be validated and categorized by a moderator  at Getit Infomedia under 4400 products and/or services categories and will eventually lead them to their required solution provider.

The Portal developed by IIMM-Getit Infomedia for Procurement Professionals and MSME is the first step in this direction. The easy to use portal will facilitate effectiveness and build good B2B market platform. We are happy to launch this portal during IIMM national convention in Bangalore during NATCOM 2013.”

With this alliance, Getit Infomedia will empower the purchase managers with its in-depth listing of businesses across a geographical reach spanning the entire length and breadth of India. Using the combination of technology and a strong foot-on-street team, Getit Infomedia would enable the purchase managers to connect with its strong database of more than 6 million SMEs.
