Canon India successfully accomplishes Sixth year of ‘Gurukul’

Canon India announced the successful conclusion of a two day residential program ‘Gurukul’ designed specially for its Channel partner’s sales team. Organized successfully for the last six years, this year’s theme was “CONQUERING NEW FRONTIERS” with focus on creating value for customers, product awareness, technical and soft skill set which will help them grow beyond ordinance of regular expectations and possibilities.


Gurukul, an annual property of Canon marks the strong commitment Canon holds towards its customers and even stronger collaboration it has established with its Partners.

The program was well received and attended by Channel’s FOS at Hyderabad with their insatiable desire of learning. Gurukul’s sessions included episodes aimed at enhancing their proficiency by providing them with extensive knowledge on the technological advancements and innovations taking place at Canon India.

The two day session acted as a platform for the channel partner’s sales team to build relationship with Canon senior leadership. This year the program was attended by channel partners from across the country, covering sales team of more than 100 from 68 cities. 

Commenting on this, K Bhaskhar, Senior Director, OIS Division, Canon India said, “Gurukul – into its sixth year is continuing to instil new confidence in Canon’s Channel partner’s sales team.  It is the highest level of motivational programme strategically designed to enhance team’s expertise and turn them to Brand Ambassadors of Canon. This forum, over the years has witnessed many participants attending the event consecutively for 5 years, and has worked as an effective retention programme.”

As a morale boosting activity, Gurukul brought to fore success-stories, hard work of channel’s sales team along with rewarding high achievers for outperforming their targets. This event was also targeted at making the sales teams feel a part of Canon at large and create a sense of mutual pride and confidence.
