Bharti Airtel has fired its group CIO Jay Menon. According to the reports published, his alleged behaviour and breach of code of conduct was the reason behind his eviction. Menon was instrumental in handling the Group's processes.
People familiar with the matter cite that he had partially awarded outsourcing contracts to some of his favourite companies. While the company has not told the reason, it has admitted to his departure from the company. Menon was working with Airtel since 2002 and was instrumental in handling several key deals for the company.
His sacking has put the company's reputation on stake. The company has a history of taking strict action against its engineers and executives.
