Spuul introduces new subscription plan and ties up with Boku

Spuul, an online streaming service for Indian cinema and television, is all set to engage with movie enthusiasts with its announcement of a new premium pack, Premium Lite. With this pack, subscribers get unrestricted access to all the premium content on Spuul for a month at Rs. 120. The ‘Lite’ plan comes with advertisements.
To make it easier for users to purchase subscriptions, the company partnered with Boku, the leading direct operator billing mobile payments company.

To activate Premium Lite or any other existing membership plan with carrier billing, users have to feed their mobile number on the Spuul website, post which a one-time password (OTP) is sent to the subscriber. On entering the OTP, their subscription becomes active. The payment will be charged to the customer's mobile bill for post paid customers or will be deducted from the balance for pre paid customers.

Reaffirming Spuul’s brand promise of providing premium entertainment anytime, anywhere, Prakash Ramchandani, CEO India, Spuul said, “We aim at providing our users with attractive premium plans and a hassle-free payment solution. We plan to give our users instant and sustained access to their favorite movies and shows at their convenience. Boku’s direct operator billing will help us to strengthen the billing relationships with our users to make it convenient for them to consume content on their tablets and mobile devices. This association highlights our proposition of providing entertainment on the go.”

The Operator billing option is available to Airtel, Vodafone and Idea Cellular with Tata Docomo to come on board soon.
