In the run-up to Diwali, there is a spirit of happiness in the air. While many like to spend time with family and friends, others love to attend parties and feast on special delicacies. It is also a time when many love to share their happiness with the underprivileged and the less fortunate ones. Most engage in some charity work and donate for a cause they believe in.
“Diwali also formally ushers in the winter season, so Lapcare India announced to donate winter wear to Ishwar NGO Kids which is a private organisation supporting underprivileged kids and upliftment of girl child. Since there are children of all age groups, Lapcare India distributed gifts and eatable for 300 + children.
On the occasion Ms. Barkha Bosman, Marketing Head, Lapcare India, said, “Celebrating Diwali with the kids of Ishwar foundation, an NGO that works in the field of education, health and community development, was an absolutely incredible and wonderful experience. It was so nice to see those awe-inspiring kids and their smiling, beautiful faces gave us immense satisfaction. We will be arranging gifts and also present an entertainment show for the kids at the NGO itself shortly”.
Apart from donating food and gifts, it is a great idea to entertain the kids as they hardly get a chance to witness live shows or movies, she further added.
“The meaning of Diwali festivities has changed over the years for most. From celebrating the occasion with close family and friends, it has become more extravagant as many host lavish taash and theme parties to entertain larger number of guests. However, the spirit of charity continues to be harboured by most and hopefully, it will only increase over years to come for the noble cause”, said Mrs. Anju Sachdev, President, Ishwar NGO.
