Cloud Adoption Program Concluded

IntelliGrape Software claimed to have organized the first-of-its-kind executive session on cloud computing in New Delhi. The prime objective of the event was to showcase benefits and growth in the adoption of cloud services with focus on AWS, a global leader in cloud computing. IntelliGrape which is an Advanced Consulting Partner for Amazon Web Services (AWS) has plans to continue this exercise in various parts of the country and spread the message of cloud adoption.

Global spending on public cloud services is expected to grow to US $131 billion in 2013. However, the Indian public cloud services market is in its nascent stage and is expected to grow at 36% to reach US $ 443 million in 2013 as per Gartner. During the event there were more than 50 CTO's from leading companies as participants, which clearly indicates interest in Amazon Services in India. Deepak Mittal, CEO, IntelliGrape announced - "After the success of the event, we plan to take this to more cities from here and continue to be a mascot of cloud adoption"

The event included a talk from Amazon team on Content Distribution Network (CDN) service CloudFront, which recently launched its end points in India. There was also a case study on American Swan (a premium online fashion & lifestyle brand) which talked about how cloud computing helped it focus on key business rather than worrying about infrastructure cost & application performance for its unpredictable and non-uniform traffic.

Harvinder Singh Banga, Vice President, Flywheel Logistics commented - "The journey of cloud computing has been from concept to reality. We have been talking about distributed computing over a network since long, but the real implementation of cloud computing in India is really possible now with the help of the companies like AWS."

"It was very exciting to know how you can pick and choose the various AWS service flavors in a matter of minutes delivering high agility, durability and performance without having to invest in capex. Amazon Cloud Front and Auto Scaling would be a great asset with the amount of flexibility it provides to the business. The event has given me insights on how companies with focus on web can derive maximum benefit with minimum risk involved once the bigger picture is clear" said Sanjiv Mathur, IT Head, Carzonnet.
